On the 19th November 2014, students and professors of the Centre for Applied Human Rights at the University of York organized a demo in solidarity with human rights defenders held prisoners in Egypt. This event was held to go in conjunction with the demo taking place on Saturday 22nd November in London.

The Centre for Applied Human Rights (CAHR) is an interdisciplinary research and teaching centre serving as community of scholars and visiting practitioners who have a shared focus on the real world challenges of putting human rights into practice and protecting human rights defenders at risk.
