Journalists take a stand for colleagues in Egypt

jonsnow_FreeAJstaff_protestOver 600 Egyptian journalists have signed a statement condemning a declaration of support for the government by their editors and the head of the Egyptian journalists’ union. Leading international journalists, including Channel 4’s Jon Snow, the Guardian’s correspondent in Cairo, Patrick Kingsley and Professor of Journalism at City University, Roy Greenslade have launched an open letter in solidarity with their colleagues in Egypt, which was published in the Guardian on 10th November.
